UNBEATEN SEASON - Our Junior Rugby received some great publicity in Friday evenings 'HB Today' which featured a great photo of our unbeaten Napier Collision Repair Centre Napier OBM 11th grade team coached by Paul 'Teddy Bear' Teddy and Judd Thompson and managed by Renee Sharplin.
"We set a goal at the beginning of April. It was to win every game." recalled Paul. "We trained for three weeks at the start of the season and placed a big emphasis on fitness and discipline and we stressed rugby was a team game and there was no point in being individuals."
Playing in the Hawkes Bay inter-city competition team stats include a 14 games unbeaten run, 796 points for and only 57 against, 130 tries scored and 73 conversions. The teams classy first-five Daniel Sharplin scored 27 tries and was rewarded with selection in the 2011 Napier Ross Shield team. This successful coaching duo will be stepping up in 2012 to coach at 12th grade level.

Well with the season well on its way, I would like to take the time to thank all the other committee members for doing such a great job getting the club up and going. Also thank you to all the extra people that helped out on club day. We are always looking for extra help when we have events on so please tell us if you can help.
School Holidays-Over the July school holidays rugby is ON. Please get in touch with your coaches if you are going away.
Photos times- Our team photo night is on the 14th of July see times listed below and make sure you are on time! You will go through the changing rooms then into the clubrooms - one team at a time. After the photo you will exit the by the front door. Please have you teams ready to go 10 minutes before your photo time in the changing rooms.

WHAT WE ARE ASKING DONATIONS OF DRY/TINNED FOODS, SMELLIES, ANY UNWANTED GIFTS (WE ALL HAVE SOME OF THESE!); VOUCHERS FROM BUSINESSES, ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN DONATE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
PLEASE BRING ANYTHING YOU MAY HAVE TO DONATE TO THE TEAM PHOTO NIGHT 14H JULY 2011 AND ONE OF THE COMITTEE MEMBERS WILL BE AT THE CLUBROOMS TO RECEIVE YOU DONATIONS.

Also in the pic is Lisa from the ASB Bank who was kind enough to give the team tickets to go and watch the Air New Zealand Cup match against Wellington. The bank are offering a good incentive for children to start saving while the are young, with a Hawkes Bay rugby ball with kids accounts.

before the kick-off of last Saturdays Nash Cup encounter between the two clubs Premier teams. OBM Juniors won 6 tries to 5.
